  • Yes, advanced reservations are recommended for all tours. Booking online is available up to the day prior to the tour. We also always welcome guests to call us at 520-747-0323 with any questions, special requests, or to book your tour.

    If you will be staying at the Ritz-Carlton, Tanque Verde Ranch, or White Stallion Ranch, please contact the concierge desk for booking and any pricing inquiries.

  • Our current prices are always visible through our website booking platform.

    By default, the prices shown on our website are per person. Children aged 3-12 years old are charged at half-price. For private tours, pricing changes to per Jeep. Each Jeep can accommodate up to 7 guests.

  • Children must be at least 3 years of age to ride in our vehicles. Booster seats must be provided and installed by the parents at your discretion. Please note that our vehicles can only secure booster seats using a standard 2-point lap belt.

    Our guides are excellent at ensuring the tour is entertaining for all guests, and will tailor your experience to keep your children engaged and having fun. Kids especially enjoy when we bring a critter along (snake or tarantula), and are usually braver than the parents!

  • We typically pick up from your hotel or residence for no additional charge. It is usually a 20-35 minute transit to our off-road trail from most locations in Tucson.

    You are also welcome to meet your Jeep at the trailhead. Trailhead departures will save some urban commuting time and may be more comfortable on hot/cold/rainy days.

    White Stallion Trailhead: Our primary trail is on the White Stallion Ranch on the Northwest side of Tucson. For driving directions, you can navigate to this Google Maps pin: https://goo.gl/maps/RRGvGwdfNcakpNwU6

    The trailhead is a dirt road intersecting Twin Peaks Rd. from the south, and the Jeep will meet you at that intersection and show you where to park.

  • The following applies for groups of fewer than 10 guests. Larger groups are subject to terms which will be communicated separately.

    You may cancel for any reason up until 24-hours before departure for a full refund of all monies paid, less any non-refundable incidental expenses incurred by us on your behalf.

    For cancellations received within 24-hours of departure or for no shows, there will be no refund or credit offered unless cancellation is due to one of the following reasons:

    -Cancellation is necessary due to governmental action, global pandemic, government shutdown, fire, flood, insurrection, earthquake, power failure, riot, explosion, embargo, strikes whether legal or illegal, actions or inaction of third parties, third party equipment not within our reasonable control, or any other condition beyond our reasonable control that prevents us from providing the agreed-upon services. A gift card for the full amount paid, less any non-refundable incidental expenses, will be issued for tours cancelled under this provision.

    -We are unable to operate the tour safely due to vehicle mechanical issues or break-down, extreme weather, or any other reason that makes the safe operation of the tour impossible. Tours cancelled under this provision will be refunded to the original payment method, less any non-refundable incidental expenses, if they cannot be rescheduled.

    -Death or serious illness and/or injury of a tour participant. A gift card for the full amount paid, less any non-refundable incidental expenses, will be issued for tours cancelled under this provision.

    -The guide cancels the tour at the pick-up location due to suspected COVID-19 related illness of one or more participants. A gift card for the full amount paid, less any non-refundable incidental expenses, will be issued for tours cancelled under this provision.

  • All of our tours take place as scheduled: rain or shine, cloudy or clear, hot or cold. You should dress appropriately for the weather, but we do carry rain ponchos and can enclose the vehicle in case it rains.

    At Trail Dusts sole discretion, tours may be altered to accommodate changes in weather so as to provide the safest and most enjoyable experience possible.

    If you wish to cancel your tour due to inclement weather, our normal cancellation policy applies. However, when possible, we will allow you to reschedule your tour to a different day at no charge, subject to space availability.

    If we must cancel a tour due to weather or safety concerns, then a full refund will be issued, you may reschedule your tour at no charge (subject to space availability), or you may elect to receive a gift card for the full purchase price that you can use at another time.

  • Guide gratuities are typically not included in the tour cost. While gratuities are not required or expected, our guides do appreciate gratuities as an acknowledgement of their excellent service and knowledge. Therefore you might want to bring along cash in case you want to express your appreciation to your guide in this way.

    The suggested gratuity is 10-15% of the tour price, or whatever you feel is appropriate. If you prefer, we can also add a gratuity to the credit card used to pay for your tour.

  • -Wear closed-toe walking shoes (such as tennis shoes). No sandals or high-heels please!

    -Wear comfortable clothing – we recommend you dress in layers as desert temperatures can change quickly.

    -Contact lens wearers may want to switch to eyeglasses on jeep tours, as tours can be dusty at times.

    -Bring a hat and sunglasses and apply sunscreen before the tour.

    -We supply plenty of cool bottled water and sodas on all tours. If you are traveling with children, you are welcome to bring along additional snacks or beverages for them. However, we request that you do not bring glass bottles or containers.

  • Guests with neck or back injuries and women who are pregnant are advised to consult with their doctor before taking a Jeep Tour.

    You will get in and out of the vehicle several times and tours typically include a nature walk or brief hike. Please let us know when booking if you have any mobility issues so that we can help you choose an appropriate tour or discuss accommodations that may be available.
